A New Home on Historic Ground
We’re excited to share that Powers & Sons Construction has moved to a new Indianapolis office located downtown on Indiana Avenue.
Indiana Avenue has long been a place of significance in Indianapolis, known for its rich cultural heritage and role in shaping the community. It’s a location that reflects both history and progress—something that closely aligns with how we approach our work.
Where It All Started
Our Indianapolis story began in 1992 with a simple goal: support work with Indianapolis Public Schools and build relationships within the community.
What started with a small team working side by side around a few folding tables quickly became something much larger. Through hard work, trusted partnerships, and a commitment to delivering quality projects, Powers & Sons Construction steadily expanded its presence throughout Central Indiana.
As opportunities grew, so did our team. One office suite became two. New projects led to new relationships. Each milestone helped strengthen our foundation and position us for the future.
A Foundation built Over Time
For more than three decades, our office at 2502 Roosevelt Road served as the center of our Indianapolis operations. It was where teams collaborated, challenges were solved, and projects that helped shape communities across the region took root.
For longtime team members like Russell Lewis, who has been part of the Indianapolis journey since the beginning, the office represents decades of growth, achievement, and shared success.
Today, Powers & Sons Construction employs more than 60 team members, with over 20 based in Indianapolis and many more supporting projects throughout the field. As our team, partnerships, and project portfolio have continued to grow, it became clear that we needed a space that could grow alongside us.
Built on the Past, Focused on the Future
Our Roosevelt office will always be an important part of the Powers & Sons Construction story. It’s where relationships were built, opportunities were created, and our Indianapolis presence continued to grow year after year.
But this move represents more than a new address.
It represents progress. Growth. Opportunity. And the continued evolution of our team and company.
As we begin this next chapter on Indiana Avenue, we do so with gratitude for everyone who helped build the foundation that brought us here. We’re excited to continue growing our team, strengthening our impact, and building projects that matter throughout Indianapolis and beyond.
We’re proud of where we started.
We’re excited about where we’re headed.
And we can’t wait to continue building the future on Indiana Avenue.

Being named one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work for six consecutive years is especially meaningful because it comes directly from employee feedback and experiences.

At the ribbon cutting ceremony, Powers & Sons Construction Executive Vice President Kelly Powers Baria reflected on the company’s longstanding connection to housing projects and the deeper meaning behind developments like The Residences.

The ceremony brought together leaders and organizations committed to advancing equitable development and expanding access to quality housing opportunities throughout the South Loop community. Among those in attendance were Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Alderman Pat Dowell, representatives from the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), and many of the partners helping move the Southbridge vision forward.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our partners and contribute to a project that will have a lasting impact on the community.

Mamon credits much of his leadership approach to one of his greatest inspirations—his grandmother, Leolean Powers.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mamon on this well-deserved recognition. His leadership reflects the very best of who we are as a company—purpose-driven, community-focused, and committed to making a difference.
