Powers & Sons is building the Indianapolis Public Library’s new 25,000 SF West Perry Branch at 6650 South Harding Street.

The steel-framed structure over concrete foundations is situated on a six-acre site with ample parking. The exterior envelope will consist of a dark brick veneer and metal panels, including perforated metal screens and aluminum entries with glass curtain walls.

Inside, the new facility will feature a central circulation desk, individual and small-group study spaces, computer lab, comfortable seating areas, meeting rooms, offices, and related support spaces.

Built using universal design principals, the library will be a functional, flexible, and energy-efficient space that serves as a key township anchor. Resource conservation measures are incorporated into the design, building materials, equipment, and fixtures with the goal of achieving a minimum LEED Silver certification.
