Powers & Sons completed all site preparation and built a new, five-story, mixed use property that features 25 affordable housing units and a community center offering services for the homeless in Humboldt Park.
The apartments are located on the third, fourth, and fifth floors. Ground-floor spaces include a teen center, food pantry, teaching kitchen, and health and wellness center operated by Howard Brown Health. Educational areas for adult classes, a clothing closet, and other services are also located on the lower level. The second floor features office space, community meeting space, and an art gallery.
