Powers & Sons built the first Mariano’s Fresh Market on the city’s south side.

Located in Bronzeville, the one-story 74,000 SF grocery and retail operation includes an exterior common area and spacious lot with 363 parking spaces. The work included 8,000 SF of new commercial space for other retailers.

The property includes artistic architectural fencing featuring Richard Wright, Louis Armstrong, Horace Clayton, and the images of other well-known Chicago celebrities and personalities from the neighborhood.
