Bioscience Innovation Building

  • Location: Hammond, IN
  • Completed: August 2020
  • Delivery method: Construction manager as constructor (CMc)

Powers & Sons was a CMc partner for the new construction of the Bioscience Innovation Building at Purdue University Northwest (PUNW). The first new academic building on the campus in nearly 20 years, it houses the College of Nursing, Department of Biological Sciences, and shared instructional spaces.

We oversaw all pre-construction planning and management for the work, which was substantially completed in August 2018. Work included demolition of the former Gyte Annex Building. The state-of-the-art new 68,000 SF building features cutting-edge instructional labs, research labs, classrooms, offices, simulation rooms, and exam/assessment rooms.
