One of several projects Powers & Sons has completed for Ivy Tech Community College, this scope of work was to convert a former middle school into a welcoming, contemporary 240,000 SF collegiate campus. Ivy Tech Noblesville, located at 300 North 17th Street, was originally built as a high school in the 1950s so our work focused on adaptive reuse. Existing building assets, including classrooms and labs, auditorium, cafeteria and kitchen, main and auxiliary gymnasia, and support spaces were renovated, upgraded, and improved. Formal and informal student interaction and collaboration spaces were created. Clear way-finding signage was added and the number of parking spaces for the adult commuter-student campus was increased.
