NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMES TO EAST GARFIELD PARK
Powers & Sons began providing General Contracting services for the Harvest Homes Apartments project, a mixed-income development that is located in Chicago’s Garfield Park neighborhood in the 28th Ward. By November 2016, Harvest Homes will include 36 mixed-income rental units in 4 separate 3-story buildings; including 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units. Sustainable landscaping has beautified the site and the courtyard. A paved a commons court will offer a place for the community to gather and children to enjoy the playground area. Scott Brown, Project Manager of the Harvest Homes Apartments, has been documenting the progress as the area transforms and is eager to share the photos and videos he has captured since the beginning of the project in December of 2015.
