This former hotel, originally built in 1965 at 2820 North Meridian Street, was purchased by Ivy Tech Community College in late 2010. Powers & Sons transformed the building into a contemporary Culinary & Conference Center. The facility features a student-operated fine-dining restaurant and a student-operated bakery/café. It also contains a conference center with over 12,000 SF of meeting space. Our work included interior demolition, asbestos abatement, shell renovation, infrastructure upgrades, and interior renovation. The first floor holds meeting rooms, executive training rooms, and culinary teaching labs. With state-of-the-art technology throughout, the second floor houses an auditorium, culinary labs, and classrooms. The third floor contains executive and administrative offices. The penthouse level has a production kitchen, dining area, and meeting spaces with spectacular views of the Indianapolis skyline.
