Powers & Sons Construction is strongly committed to the Health and Safety of our team members, clients, subcontractors, and the public, as well as the protection of the environment. It is the goal of our firm to foster a culture that instills a sense of pride and duty to protect the health and welfare of everyone we associate with, during the course of our business endeavors.
The programs and procedures set forth in our Safety Program are only tools to guide a continuously improving “Safety Culture”. These tools are only as good as the implementation by management and employees. Successful field implementation requires strong cultural habits based upon technical knowledge, skills, and experience, along with a positive attitude; therefore, Supervisors and Managers at all levels are expected to know our safety program, as it applies to their responsibilities, and ensure that team members receive proper guidance and training.
The information provided in our Safety Program serves only as a guideline for conducting our work. There is no substitute for knowledge, experience, good judgment, and a duty of care to our team members, while executing our individual jobs and responsibilities. The Health and Safety of our team members and the protection of the environment are our most sacred commitments.
Z-PRIDE, or Zero Punchlist Requires Individual Daily Effort, is at the root of our core values at Powers & Sons. It ensures both safety and quality with every project the company undertakes. The leadership of Powers & Sons initiates a zero punchlist campaign at the beginning of all projects, enlisting the owner, architect, contractors, and craft personnel from the inception of the project to commit to a quality outcome in our planning and in the minds of all participants in the construction process. Most punchlist items are preventable. Our emphasis on Z-PRIDE identifies our pride of workmanship and commitment to quality. We believe that quality begins with the right team, pride of workmanship, and commitment to excellence.
For more than four decades, Powers & Sons has enjoyed an outstanding relationship with our surety company. This relationship allows us to have a bond program of more than $100 million.
